Nets Outlast Knicks

Today the Brooklyn Nets traveled across town to visit the New York Knicks.  Joe Johnson led the way for the Nets with 25 points.  In the first quarter the Nets drained more shots than the Knicks outscoring them 26-24.  In the second quarter the Nets again outscored the Knicks 21-17.  The halftime score was 47-41 with the Nets on top.  In the third quarter the Knicks outscored the Nets 27-18.  The third quarter was a huge momentum changer going in the Knicks favor.  However, in the fourth quarter the Brooklyn Nets outscored the New York Knicks 23-17.  The final score was 88-85 with the Brooklyn Nets on top.  This was the Nets and Knicks last regular season matchup.  Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points and 7 assists.  Tyson Chandler had 11 boards, leading the Knicks.  Kris Humphries led the Nets in rebounding with 12 boards.  Deron Williams had 12 assists.  The Brooklyn Nets are now 25-16.  On the other side, the New York Knicks are now 25-14.  The Nets are having a great season and if they play like this after the All-Star break they will make the playoffs.
