Fiesta Bowl: Preview

In the Fiesta Bowl at 8:30 on ESPN this year the teams will be the #4 Oregon Ducks and #5 Kansas State Wildcats. Neither of these teams would be here if they hadn't had a Nov. 17 loss. These two teams were undefeated and predicted to be in the BCS championship game. Then, time ran out on both these teams undefeated seasons. Oregon fell 3 points short of Stanford and Kansas State lost 52-24 to the unranked Baylor.

The Oregon Ducks never were a power house defense which will bring trouble in stopping Collin Klein Heisman candidate and the Kansas State offense. Klein has 2490 yards with 15 touchdowns. Kansas State doesn't have much talent surrounding Collin Klein except for running Back John Hubert who has 892 rush yards and 15 touchdowns. On the other hand is the Oregon Ducks offense starring running back Kenjon Barner who has 1624 rush and 21 touchdowns. Oregon's Freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota does his fair share with 2511 yards and 30 touchdowns. Mariota also has a 5th highest quarterback rating with 165.4 which is only 9.4 short of leader Aaron Murray of Georgia.

The Outcome of the game I predict will have the Ducks on top on 33-28. Predict what you think the score will be in the comments!
