Patriots and Texans Preview

Tom Brady and his Patriots are yet again in the playoffs. If I were the Texans I would want to be as prepared as they can be. The Patriots are coming fresh off of a bye and that gave Bill Bellichek another week to make new blitz packages and new plays on offense. Tom Brady has multiple offensive threats including Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Alex Hernandez, and Danny Woodhead. Even if Brady is not having a great day throwing, he can just hand it off to either Shane Vereen or Steven Ridley. Steven Ridley had a total of 1,263 yards and twelve touchdowns during the regular season. Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead are awesome players because they can be used as a dual threat, wide receivers and running backs. On the other side of the field, the Houston Texans have one of the best defenses in the league, led by J.J Watt( nicknamed J.J. Swat). When the Texans played the Bengals, I think one of the main problems for the Texans was that they couldn't convert on third down inside the 25 yard line. The Texans main offensive weapons are running back, Arian Foster and wide receiver, Andre Johnson. Arian Foster had an impressive season with 1,424 yards and 15 touchdowns. Andre Johnson also had an impressive season with 1,598 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. Head coach, Gary Kubiak has done an amazing job with the Texans and I think he should receive a plethora of the credit. After having a not-so-good performance against the Bengals I think the Texans will play with all of the intensity they can find. I think the Patriots will pull away in a close one with a score of 21-17. What do you think the score is going to be? Post it in the comments!
