The Final Countdown

The NCAA Tournament starts to come to an end for another year, this year the final four is Louisville, Michigan, Wichita State, and Syracuse. The newest members are the Louisville Cardinals who defeated the Duke Blue Devils and the Michigan Wolverines who took down Florida in a landslide.

The Wolverines beat the Gators by exactly 20 points, 79-59. Nik Stauskas was the main reason that the Wolverines won, he 22 points and literally couldn't miss. He went 7-8 from the field and 6-6 from the 3 point arc. Trey Burke played just as well if not better, Burke had 7 assists, 8 rebounds, and 15 points, at point guard for the Wolverines of Michigan. Patric Young and his Gators were out of it almost the whole game and his 8 rebounds and 7 points couldn't do anything about it.

As for the Cardinals Russ Smith was probably the top performer in this game, his only competition was Mason Plumlee of Duke. Plumlee had 12 rebounds and 17 points, Smith had 23 points and a pair of steals. Gorgui Dieng played great for the Cardinals as well as Russ, maybe better. He had 14 points and 11 rebounds to push his team to a 22 points victory of 85-63.

Post who you think will win the tournament in the comments box as well as the runner-up!

Buckeyes Take away A Win

The Wichita State Shockers' forward, Carl Hall, had one of the best games of his life against the Ohio State Buckeyes, especially on defense with 6 blocks. His teammate Malcolm Armstead had quite a game himself with 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists, and 14 points.

For the Ohio State Buckeyes the only thing missing from DeShaun Thomas's stat sheet was a "W", he had 23 points and 5 rebounds for his Buckeyes. That combined with LaQuinton Ross' 19 points and 5 rebounds usually adds up to a win, just not when Aaron Craft plays terrible like he did only making 2 of 12 field goals and playing terrible defense. The Buckeyes were down by double digits for most of the game until they made a huge comeback going on a 22-6 run, but leaving with a final score of 66-70 with the Shockers on top, left a frown on many Buckeye senior's faces.

Who Called This

The Syracuse Orange have been quite obviously underestimated after beating Indiana now Marquette. The Marquette Golden Eagles played some terrible basketball against the 2-3 zone of Syracuse. They only had 39 points, 28 of which coming from Davante Gardner and Vander Blue, each with 14. Gardner had 7 rebounds and Blue had 5 rebounds at point guard.

For the Orange they came out shooting with, James Southerland having 16 points, Fair with 13, and Carter-Williams with 12. Micheal Carter-Williams had 10 rebounds as well, leading the Orange.

Syracuse will advance to play the Wichita State Shockers or the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Final Four, in Atlanta. Who do you think will make it there, Ohio State or Wichita State? I believe that the Buckeyes will fly to Atlanta rather than the Shockers. Post your answer in the comments!

UPSET ALERT: BRACKET BUSTER

The Syracuse Orange have just busted almost every bracket in the country by beating the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers lost by 11 points with a final score of 61-50. I have to give a ton of credit to Micheal Carter-Williams, he had 24 points, 4 steals, and 5 rebounds. And as I predicted before if Brandon Triche is shooting the Orange will win, and he was shooting 50% from the field with 14 points. And to everyone's surprise James Southerland only took 3 shots in total, he had 5 points, 3 blocks, 3 steals, and 7 rebounds. Facilitating on all cylinders. Cody Zeller did have a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, but that wasn't enough.

The Marquette Golden Eagles played to see who would play the Syracuse Orange and Marquette took it to the Miami Hurricanes. Especially Jamil Wilson, Davante Gardner, and Vander Blue. All of these players had 14 points, Vander Blue with 14, Gardner with 14, and Jamil Wilson with 16 and 8 rebounds. The Hurricanes' Shane Larkin and Durand Scott did their best to keep them in the game. Scott had 5 assists, 7 rebounds, and 10 points. As for Larkin, he had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. That would leave the final score to be 71-61 Golden Eagles on top and playing the Orange in the Elite Eight.

The real story of this game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Arizona Wildcats, was LaQuinton Ross, with 17 points and with time expiring he had a 1-1 three point day and decided to put one up and break the tie. He did, leaving 2 seconds on the clock he gave his team a lead of 73-70 over Mark Lyons' Arizona Wildcats. Lyon had 23 points, but it wasn't enough. The assist on that play went to none other than Aaron Craft who had 5 of them. They moved on to the Elite Eight to play either the La Salle Explorers or the Wichita State Shockers.

Carl Hall and his Shockers played the underdog La Salle Explorers and creamed them. Carl Hall had 16 points and 8 rebounds, Malcolm Armstead had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. The explorers best chance at winning was in Ramon Galloway and Jerrell Wright. Galloway had 11 points and 8 rebounds, Wright on the other hand, had 16 points and 5 rebounds. The Shockers will move on to play the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Elite Eight.

World Peace has been Silenced

The Lakers forward Metta World Peace will undergo knee surgery and he will be out for an estimated 6 weeks. This is a huge loss for the Lakers at a crucial time in the season.
The Lakers had been creeping there way up to a play off spot and then down came the rain and washed out the  itsy bitsy spider. The Lakers will be missing 13 points and 5 rebounds per game with World Peace out for 6 weeks.

This means that the Lakers Point Guard Steve Nash might need to start getting some points and not just giving to Kobe, all the time. Even though Kobe is still their best player, except for Howard, but you would need a very good argument to have that pass.

How Drastically do you think the Lakers will be effected by this? I think it's a huge loss of points and rebounds, the Lakers play-off run might be over. Post your opinion in the comments!

Round of 32 Wrap Up

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles have pulled off yet another upset beating the San Diego State Aztecs and making history. They have become the first ever 15 seed to make it to the Sweet Sixteen. The Aztecs' were strongly lead by Jaamal Franklin who had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Sherwood Brown had 17 points and 8 rebounds against the Aztecs, but the real big time player was Brett Comer. Comer had 10 points and 14 assists for the Eagles. Bernard Thompson added to the upset hype with 23 points and 5 steals. That adds up to a grand total of 81-71 with the Eagles on top.

The Eagles have moved on to play the Florida Gators in the Sweet Sixteen, do you think that the Eagles can pull off the upset. I think they can, they have all the momentum and Sherwood Brown wants to play as many games as possible in this tournament in his senior year. Post your answer in the comments box below!

Tar Heels Blow it!

The Kansas Jayhawks have defeated the UNC Tar Heels in a giant comeback. The Tar Heels had a half time lead of 9 points and it was quickly turned in the other direction. The final score would end up being a lot to a lot less.

The Jayhawks' center, Jeff Withey, had 16 rebounds, every block his team had 5, and 16 points. Travis Releford played good too, Releford had 22 points and 8 rebounds. P.J Hairston was the leader of the Tar Heels, he had 15 points 9 or them off three's, and 9 rebounds. All that added up to the grand reveal of 58-70 Kansas on top of UNC.

Who do you think will win in the sweet sixteen, Kansas or Michigan? I think the Wolverines will win, they have a offense that isn't based around working the ball inside the paint and that is where Kansas is the most dangerous. Post your opinion in the comments box!

Oladipo Leads the Way

Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Hoosiers have just pulled off another win. They beat the Temple Owls to advance and play the Syracuse Orange. The Hoosiers', Victor Oladipo had quite a game with 1 rebound and 4 points in the last one minute and 30 seconds to take the lead. In the entire game he had 16 points and 8 rebounds.

Cody Zeller also had a good game, Zeller had 15 points and 6 rebounds. All that sounds great but, the real player here was Khalif Wyatt, Wyatt had 31 points and his teammate, Scottie Randall, had 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. The final score would end up being Indiana 58- Temple 52.

Who do you think will win the Syracuse Orange or the Indiana Hoosiers? I think that the neither teams have been playing their best basketball with the Hoosiers barely beating Temple and the 'Cuse only beat California by 6, so I'll take the Orange if Brandon Triche is shooting well and the Hoosiers if he isn't. Post your opinion in the comments box below!

Cyclones won't Blow this Town

The Ohio State Buckeyes barely scraped out enough to beat the three point shooting Iowa State Cyclones. The Cyclones had made 12 3 points shots and surprisingly the Buckeyes made 9 threes this game, that all added up to a final score 78-75 Buckeyes on top.

I believe that the reason the Buckeyes won was because Aaron Craft played as well as he did, Craft had 18 points and 6 assists.  DeShaun Thomas had himself quite a game as well with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the Buckeyes. But, the real player this game was Melvin Ejim, Ejim had 11 rebounds and 10 points for the Cyclones. Korie Lucious and Tyrus McGee were the three point shooter though, McGee went 3-5 and Korie Lucious went 5-7 both for the Cyclones.

Who do you think will win the Ohio state Buckeyes or the Arizona Wildcats in the Sweet Sixteen. I think the Buckeyes will win because Aaron Craft will play shut down defense on the main scorer for the Wildcats Mark Lyons, and Thomas and Thompson will be getting points as usual. Post your answer in the comments box below!

Shocker Shock the Nation

The Butler Bulldogs had quite a wild ride against the Marquette Golden Eagle, it was a back and forth game. It would end with an inbound pass thrown out of bounds by the Golden Eagles with 2.9 seconds left. But, Butler couldn't get it to Rotnei Clarke who had 24 points, and with no time-outs they gave it to Andrew Smith who bricked a 3. That would end Butler's tournament and they would go home on a 74-72 loss. Vander Blue was the man who made the 3 to put the Golden Eagles up and gave them momentum at the end. He had 29 points that game and was 3-4 on the 3 ball.

The Syracuse Orange have been lead to another victory by James Souterland. This game against the California Golden Bears, Southerland had 9 rebounds and 14 points not taking as many shots. C.J Fair was though, the junior had 18 points and 6 rebounds at forward. But, when Richard Solomon got hot he started cutting Syracuse' leads from 10 to 5 and the Golden Bears were back in it. Solomon played amazing this game with 14 rebounds and 22 points. This added up to a 66-60 loss for the Golden Bears.

Overrated, Overrated, Overrated, that is what half the nation sees number 1 Gonzaga to be. They have just lost 70-76 to the ninth seeded Wichita State Shockers. The Shockers were winning nearly the whole game, but keeping it close, then Cleanthony Early helped the Shockers yet again run away with it as time expired. Early had 7 rebounds and 16 points. Not even Kelly Olynik could win it for the Bulldogs, he had 26 points and 9 rebounds, sadly for the Bulldog fans that wasn't enough. Not even Kevin Pangos's 19 points was enough, not even Mike Hart's 14 rebounds was enough. My point is Wichita State played to well as a team for any singular star to beat them alone.

As Marquette moves on who do you think they will play, Miami or Illinois? I believe that the Illinois will win because, they have already beaten Ohio State, Gonzaga, Indiana, and Butler. I think they can add Miami to that list. Post your opinion in the comments.

Birds Will Meet

The Oregon Ducks have survived past the Oklahoma Sooners and non the Saint Louis Billikens. The Ducks have a challenging obstacle ahead of them though, the Louisville Cardinals. Can they do it?

The Billikens and Ducks game is what I would like to discuss. Arsalan Kazemi and Damyean Dotson carried the Ducks on their shoulders.  Kazemi with 16 rebounds and 8 points, and Dotson with 23 points. For the Billikens their leader Dwayne Evans played well, but not well enough. Evans had 16 points and 9 rebounds, Kwamain Mitchel did what he could to help out with 18 points for the Billikens. It would en with Oregon on top 57-74.

In other news, the the Arizona Wildcats speed by the Harvard Crimson with a run of 30-9 to close it out. Mark Lyons had more help than anybody in this Arizona win, Lyons had 27 points and Solomon Hill had quite a say with 10 rebounds and 13 points for the Wildcats. The Crimsons' truly best player was Kenyatta Smith, Smith had 10 points and 5 rebounds being the only player in double digits for the Crimson, in the loss of 51-74.

More March Madness news will be out as soon as possible!

Smith and Siva- Once Again

The Louisville Cardinals got passed the first round just to have to play the Colorado State Rams. The Rams couldn't top the Cardinals, but they gave it their all. They may have only put 56 points on the board, but they played pretty well against this well coached team. Colton Iverson sure gave it his all with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks for his Rams.

Yet again Russ Smith was too powerful for the Cardinals to go down in flames. He had 27 points and 2 steals, even the lately useless Peyton Siva got 10 points and 5 assists. That just shows how powerful and dangerous this Louisville team is. This would all lead to Louisville's 82 points.

The Cardinals now have to face either the Oregon Ducks or Saint Louis Gaels, who do you think it will be? I think it will be Oregon, because they are winning by 16 currently.

By 'David B.

The Spartans Invade

The Michigan State Spartans got passed the first round and they moved on to play the Memphis Tigers. The Spartans played very well especially on defense. Adreian Payne played very well with 5 blocks, 10 rebounds, and 14 points. Derrick Nix played great as well with 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 13 points. Gary Harris was the big time shooter for the Spartans though. He had 23 points more than all scorers this game.

Joe Jackosn played well again for the Tigers, nearly as good as against Saint Mary's. He had 7 rebounds, 3 assist, and 12 points. Geron Johnson was the real play maker though, he had 4 three's, 16 points, and 4 rebounds. Thats not all though he played good defense with 2 steals. The final score was Michigan State 70- Memphis 48.

The Spartans are now moving on to play either Duke or Creighton, who do you think till win that match up. I personally believe that Duke will win because of Seth Curry's scoring combined with Mason Plumlee's rebounding and scoring is practically unstoppable alone. Then, you have to worry about Quinn Cook's ability to steal and assist, now they are really unstoppable. That is my opinion tell yours in the comments box!

Michigan Rolls

The Michigan Wolverines battled it out against the fighting VCU Rams. The Wolverines were strongly lead by Mitch McGary , he had 21 points and 14 rebounds leading all players in both categories this game. Trey Burke was as big a help as any with 18 points and 7 assists.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was a large help as well as Glenn Robinson III, Robinson had 9 boards with and 14 points. Hardaway had 14 points as well.

For VCU Juvonte Reddic had himself quite a game in the loss. He had 16 points, 3 rebounds, and a block.

The final score ended up being 53-78 Michigan on top, who do you think Michigan will play next round, UNC or Kansas? I think that the powerful offense of UNC will pull off the win to play Michigan. Post you answer in the comments and stay tuned for more march madness action!

The Irish's luck Runs Out

The Florida Gators had their first reps last night, they got to play the Northwestern state Demons. The Gators played some of their best basketball with Patric Young and Erik Murphy playing explosively well together. Young had 9 rebounds and 16 points, Murphy had 18 points and 8 rebounds. The final score of the game was 79-47.

The Ohio State Buckeyes played some great basketball against the Iona Gaels, the Buckeyes' elite players Sam Thompson, DeShaun Thomas, and Aaron Craft played very well together in their teams win. Thhomas had 24 points leading all players this game, Sam Thompson was a close second with 20 and a leader in rebounds with 10. Craft had a great game as the facilitator he is, Craft had 7 assists and 6 steals. The Gaels guard Tavon Sledge had 20 points for his Gaels. The final score would end up being Iona 70-Ohio State 95.

The three point shooting teams Notre Dame and Iowa State played on Friday. Notre Dames' whole team was cold except for Jack Cooley and Ton knight both with 14 points. Melvin Ejim a tall forward was guarded by Jack Cooley and he likes the three ball so it lead to Cooley being taken away from the hoop and he couldn't get rebounds. Ejim had 17 points and 8 rebounds that game.

That is the end of the round of 64, the scores from the round of 32 will be out as soon as possible!

By David B.

The Jayhawks Hold off the Hilltoppers

The Kansas Jayhawks had a few times when they were on the edge of their seats in their round of 64 battle against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Hilltoppers only lossed by a score 64-57 and they were kept in the game by Jamal Cook who had 13 points, 4 assists, and 9 rebounds. The Jayhwaks team leaders Ben McLemore and Jeff Withey played very well. Withey had 7 blocks, 17 points, and 6 rebounds, McLemore had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Another game occurred yesterday, the Villanova Wildcats played the UNC Tar Heels. The Tar Heels were all offense with 4 players with 10 or more points, the Wildcats had 4 as well. The Tar Heels had much help from P.J Hairston, Hairston had 23 points and 5 rebounds. JayVaughn Pinkston had the most points and rebounds for 'Nova with 20 points and 8 rebounds. This win was number 700 for the UNC coach Roy Williams, as the final score was 78-71.

Romero Osby had a heck of a game for the Oklahoma Sooners in their 55-70 loss to the San Diego State Aztecs. Osby had 22 points and 8 rebounds for his Sooners, but in the end Jamal Franklin and San Diego States' offense was to much with Franklin scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers won their first round match-up against the UCLA Bruins in a slaughter. The final score was 83-63 Gophers on top. Andre Hollins had 28 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Shabazz Muhammed had 20 points for the Bruins in the loss.

There is still more to come on this fast moving tournament, so stay tuned!

The Guards

The whole offense of The Illinois Fighting Illini is based on their 2 guards, D.J Richardson and Brandon Paul. They try to get them open for the three and it works. This game it lead to Richardson getting 14 points and 5 rebounds, and Brandon Paul getting 4 rebounds and 17 points. The opposing team the Colorado Buffaloes' forward, Josh Scott had 14 rebounds and 8 points.

The Indiana Hoosiers' point guard Yogi Ferrell had a great game with 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 16 points. The Hoosiers faced the James Madison Dukes and the whole game relied on their guard Andre Nation, who had 4 rebounds and 24 points.

The rest of the games will be coming at you later, so stay tuned.

Hurricanes Sweep the Pacific

The Miami Hurricanes got their first chance in the tournament this year against the Pacific Tigers. Khalil Kelley had 11 points for the Hurricanes as well as 9 rebounds. For Miami they were in full gear producing 78 points and 21 pf which from Durand Scott. Shane Larkin had 10 points and 9 assists almost a double-double for the Hurricanes. The final score was 78-59 Miami on top.

The La Selle Explorers have just upset Kansas State Wildcats by a margin of only 2 points. The Wildcats were heavily favored and this messed up brackets around the nation. If it weren't for Jerrell Wright the Explorers would have fell hard, he produced 21 of the Explorers 63 points an exact third. He also had a large portion of their 26 rebounds with 8 of them. Jordan Henriquez had 12 boards, 5 blocks, and 17 points for K-State keeping them in the game just to fall short 61-64.

That's all for now, but you can check in later and see the newest action in the tournament!

Houston We have Reed

The Houston Texans had just found themselves a great safety with 2013 super bowl champion Ed Reed. Reed is a 9 time pro bowler at the age of 34.

Reed is a great player if u are interested in interceptions because he has 17 picks in the last three years a league high. And he has 12 of them from 15 plus yards downfield and that is second only behind Devin McCourty and the next best is Corey Webster with 10 for the Giants. Reed also has been given a good price with 15 million dollars and Reed excepted it because it is where he wanted to be from the start of free agency, right here in Houston, Texas.

Do you think that Ed Reed is the right fit for this Houston style defense? I do because Reed can read the quarterback's eyes and tell where the ball is going, here in Houston that is what general manager, Rick Smith ordered. Post your answer in the comments box below!

The Rebels Invade

Day 1 ended strong with the Oregon Ducks playing better than they have in a while, The Ducks put up 68 points against the 5 seed Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cowboys could only put 55 points up in this  PAC-12 battle. Arsalan Kazemi had a HUGE game with 17 rebounds and 11 points for his Ducks. Marcus Smart played well also with 9 rebounds and 14 points for the Cowboys. The Cowboys would have standed a chance if they had not turned the ball over as much.

The Mizzouri Tigers had their turn to battle it out against the Colorado State Rams when they lost 84-72. Phil Pressey a senior guard for the Tigers had his last game turn out to be a good one with 20 points and 7 assists in the loss. Dorian Green played just well enough to put his team on top with 26 points for the Rams.

North Carolina A&T barely made the tournament and the team they had to play was, the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals had just won the Big East and they won this match up too, with a final score of 48-79. Russ Smith played extraordinary with 23 points and an unheard of 8 steals. He was the only real power player except for Blackshear of the Cardinals who had a great game with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Duke Blue Devils got the first whack at it today against the Albany Great Danes. Duke would prevail almost losing to a 15 seed like last year, but they didn't this time. The Blue Devils' Seth Curry played great with 6 rebounds and 26 points, Mason Plumlee did good as well with 23 points and 8 rebounds. The number that stood out to me though was Quin Cooks 11 assists all of those for the Blue Devils. Jacob Iati played very well in his teams' loss, he had 15 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds.

The Wisconsin Badgers just lossed and ruined many brackets after their loss to the Ole Miss Rebels. The final score was a disappointing 57-46, and the Rebel leader, Marshal Henderson paved the way with 19 points and Reginald Buckner helped quite a bit with 12 rebounds and 9 points. If Ben Brust had a hotter hand for Wisconsin a win would have been possible, but his hand was cold and that lead to a loss.

More news on the Tournament will be out as soon as possible!

Day 1- Wrap up

The NCAA March Madness tournament carried on last night with New Mexico Falling 62-68 against Harvard, with The New Mexico Lobos' Alex Kirk putting on  a show with 22 points and 12 rebounds leading all players in both categories that game. But, the Harvard Crimson had 4 players in double figures including, Kenyatta Smith, Wesley Saunders, Christian Webster, Laurent Rivard.

The Syracuse Orange had so far the biggest win of the tournament they took it with a score of 81-34 against the Montana Grizzlies. The Grizzlies had no players with more than five points. Syracuse' Brandon Triche took charge this game with 20 points and 4 steals.

One of the closest games yet was The California Golden Bears beating the UNLV Rebels. The Rebels only lost the war by 3 points, 61-64 when their strong leader Anthony Bennet lead them with 15 points and 11 rebounds. But, The California Golden Bears Allen Crabbe put up 19 points and 9 rebounds pushing them to victory.

After Trey Burke's painful fall he came out of the game and he came back able to play and he continued to lead his Michigan Wolverines to victory over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Glenn Robinson III and Tim Hardaway Jr. had the largest impacts on the game. Hardaway had 21 points and 4 rebounds while Robinson grabbed 6 boards off the shelf and got 21 points as well. That was a large help in their teams prevail of 71-56.

VCU had a massive win almost as big as Syracuse' but, one points less. They beat the Akron Zips 88-42 in a shocker. Troy Daniels was a huge power player this game scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. His teammate on VCU , Juvonte Reddic had 21 points and 6 rebounds. For the Zips their forward, Demtrius, Treadwell had 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The rest of the games are coming soon in a new post!

Round of 32 Matchup

Earlier today, Gonzaga beat Southern University, 64-58.  Pittsburgh lost to Wichita State today too.  This means Gonzaga will be playing Wichita State in the round of 32.  Pittsburgh is a team who can bring on the pressure.  Many people were expecting Pitt to win.  The reason Pitt won so many games was because of their home court advantage.  The Panthers are not a very good team on the road.  This game was in neutral territory, and Pitt didn't have as much fan support and noise as they did during the regular season.  Wichita State was a team that surprised many people last year.  They are a good team that can grind out any win.  When they are told they can't win, they win, and they make it a big deal.  Gonzaga had an amazing record this season at 31-2.  Their only significant loss was to Butler in the middle of the season.  Butler also won today.  Gonzaga didn't have a very difficult schedule this season, a result of their astounding record.  Still, to only lose two games in one season is impressive no matter who you play.  When Gonzaga plays Wichita State, I think Wichita State will win.  Wichita State is a team that grinds out wins in hostile environments and in important games.  Gonzaga has been celebrating and they will most likely carry that on when they play Wichita State.  This is normal for any team and any player after a big win, especially after a close win.  Wichita State remains calm and keeps their composure, allowing them to comeback from large deficits.  This game will be a hard fought battle though.  Every player's skin will be left on the floor from hustling.

Vander Blue to the Rescue

In the first round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament the Marquette Golden Eagles faced failure in the eye against the Davidson Wildcats, until Vander Blue of Golden Eagles made a last second lay-up to put Marquette up by 1. Vander Blue wasn't even the best performer over all for Marquette, Chris Otule had that one in the bag. Otule had 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks. The Wildcats top performer was Jake Cohen who had 20 points leading all scorers this game. The final score was 59-58 Marquette.

Gonzaga and Southern University were also among the teams to play in the first round today. Gonzaga faced a bad loss in the eye until they broke away in the second half playing cat and mouse. Then, they struck taking a 6 point lead and keeping it to win by a score of 58-64. Kelly Olynik was a big help for the Gonzaga Bulldogs with 10 rebounds and 21 points, Olynik did have 4 fouls so he had to play carefully the last minute or so. For the Southern University Jaguars Derick Beltran lead the club 21 points and shared the lead in assists with 3.

As the scores keep coming we'll keep getting the information out!

NCAA- Day 1

This is the first round of the NCAA tournament on the first day and, the Saint Louis Billikens Dwayne Evans had yet again another great game this time against the New Mexico State Aggies. Evans had 24 points a team high. And it was the same amount as the Billikens last game against Butler. For the Aggies Bandja Sy had 17 points and 9 rebounds leading his team in both categories.

Another game played today was Saint Mary's Gaels against the Memphis Tigers with the Tigers on top 52-54. Joe Jackson was a large power player in this game, he had 14 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds leading his team in assists and points this game. Saint Mary's was lead by Brad Waldow with 17 points leading the Gaels.

The Syracuse Orange play Montana, Louisville plays North Carolina A&T, Michigan plays San Diego State, and there are many more being played and to be played today in the first round. So stay tuned!

NCAA- Day 1

The NCAA's first official day of March Madness has begun. The games that have already occurred include, Witchita State Destroying Pittsburg. Pitt ended up losing 55-73 in a slaughter. Cleanthony Early had a forward for the Witchita State Shockers had 7 rebounds and 21 points off the bench.

Butler had their first game of the tournament against Bucknell and Bucknell was taken down. The final score was 68-56. The Butler Bulldogs' Andrew Smith had 14 points and 16 rebounds. The Bucknell Bison's forward, Joe Willman, had 20 points in the downfall of his team.

Valparaiso Crusaders a 13 seed faced the Michigan State Spartans who were dominant. They won 65-54 lead by Derrick Nix who had 15 rebounds and 23 points and he was the difference maker in this game.

Jeter's setback

The general Manager of the New York Yankees, Brian Cashman, has announced that star shortstop Derek Jeter is possibly on the disabled list for opening day. Edwardo Nunez will be the one to take his spot.

Jeter must miss some games because his rehab has been rushed and the Yankees won't take any chances with a franchise player like Jeter.

"I feel great," Nunez said after the Yankees' 4-0 victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday at The Boss. "I feel so comfortable, confident in myself. I think I've fixed a lot of my defense this year."

Edwardo Nunez did make an error in the bombers' previous spring training game, but in his defense it was a nasty hop and he didn't have a large chance at throwing him out if he caught it. I think Nunez is ready for the season.

How do you think the Yankees season will pan out with Granderson, Jeter, Texiera, Hughes, and Rodriguez out with injuries? Not good. Post your opinion in the comments box.

Matsuzaka Won't make Opener

Daisuke Matsuzaka pitcher for the Cleveland Indians will not be on the opening day starting rotation.

Matsuzaka isn't the only pitcher missing the opener, because Matt Capps will not play this was decided during a meeting between the general manager, Chris Antonetti and manager, Terry Francona. Since Daisuke  only played in 11 games last year due to elbow reconstruction surgery and he hasn't played enough in the spring.

Do you think that Dice-K should be in the rotation? I do, because their rotation is weak as it is. Post your opinion in the comments box!

One and Done

Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies was removed from his spring training start against the Baltimore Orioles. The Phil's announced that he had a stomach virus.

There attention was first directed at Halladay when he had been taken from last weeks game against Detroit after 2 2/3 innings. He gave up 7 runs in that small amount of time and Charlie Manuel made the call to the bullpen. There was another factor that lead them to believe Roy had a problem, he was not throwing his usual 93 miles per hour fast ball. He was only throwing in the range of 86-83 mph. This shouldn't be a problem for Halladay though.

How well do you believe the Phillies will do this year, first, second, third, fourth, or fifth place? I believe they will come in with a standing of second place, behind only the Nationals. Post your opinion in the comments below!

Atlantic 10- Butler is Demolished

The Butler Bulldogs put up a great fight against the surprisingly strong Saint Louis Billkens. The Billkens only had a two point lead at the half, but that lead grew large fast. The Billkens outscored the Bulldogs by 9 in the second half.

The Bulldogs starting five were so week only two of them had points! If it weren't for Rotnei Clarke they would have lost by much for than 11. Clarke had 16 points and 5 rebounds making him the only player in double figures. On the other hand, the Billkens had a very strong starting five with two of them with double figures in points and one with 11 rebounds. In fact Dwayne Evans had a double-double with 11 rebounds and 24 points. Cody Ellis, a starter as well, had 13 points and 5 rebounds.

The final score was 67 to 56 with the Atlantic 10 being won by the Saint Louis Billkens. If the Bulldogs had a second chance to play the Billkens do you think they would win? I do. Post your opinion in the comments!

Upset

Duke has sunk to Maryland in the ACC Tournament.  Maryland had the energy to start off, resulting in a 34-26 halftime score with Maryland on top.  Duke was upset by Miami early this season, and they were down big at halftime.  This game was similar to that until the second half.  Last season, Duke lost in the first round of the March Madness Tournament.  Duke isn't a very good road team, especially when something very important is on the line.  Whatever Coach K said to his team in the locker room really put some heart into Duke in the second half.  Duke didn't have enough heart to catch up.  Duke was outscored 49-48 in the second half.  The final score was 83-74 with Maryland on top.  Duke shouldn't be hanging their heads over this loss though.  Duke came out strong in the second half and if they could to that in the first half too, Duke would've had more of a chance to win.  This loss will wake Duke up and tell them that they won't win every game and it isn't going to be easy to win.  In every win, you have to find the bits of strength left in you.  After every game, there should be every players' skin on the court.  Dez Wells led Duke with 30 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.  Mason Plumlee led Duke and had 19 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block.  It doesn't matter whether you lead the team in scoring; it is if you do your job and help your team win.  Ryan Kelly for the Blue Devils only had 8 points, 1 assist, and 3 rebounds.  He needs to get back into his shooting groove to help Duke to more wins.

Gomez For Four Years

Carlos Gomez spent some time in Arizona with the Brewers with a 4.3 million dollar one year contract. He was chasing down balls and zipping from base to base. For this he was offered a 4 year 28.3 million dollar contract.

Gomez had 19 homers and 37 steals in the 2012 season, he joined only four other players with 30 steals and 15 homers. The players include, Ryan Braun, rookie of the year Mike Trout, B.J Upton, and Jimmy Rollins.

"I feel really good that I'll be able to stay three more years with the Brewers now that they've given me a new opportunity," Gomez said in Spanish after leaving the game. He went 0-2 that game with a walk agianst Arizona.

How do you think the Brewers season will go, first in the N.L Central, second, third, fourth, or fifth. I think they will land on third place falling short of the Cardinals and Reds. And surpassing the Pirates and cubs. Post your opinion in the comments box below!

Quarterback Prospects

The NFL's Free Agency has started, and there have been many players who have already packed their bags and are headed toward training camp.  Teams that need are quarterback for this coming season are in a jam.  Last year, the draft was filled with quarterbacks.  The teams that need a quarterback the most are the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, and the New York Jets.  Many people think that Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are franchise quarterbacks.  They are not.  Mark Sanchez always runs into the lineman up front, causing a sack.  Tim Tebow has the inability to stay healthy or throw very deep down the field.  The Buffalo Bills released quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, who didn't have a very impressive 2012 season.  The Cardinals' quarterbacks couldn't stay healthy.  Kevin Kolb was doing excellent, but then was injured and missed most of the season.  The Jacksonville Jaguars never really had a quarterback who could carry them to wins.  The Miami Dolphins have a quarterback who didn't have a break-out game to prove that he was going to be the franchise quarterback.  The most popular draft prospect is Geno Smith from West Virginia.  He can go to any one of these teams: Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, or the Buffalo Bills.  He can go to any of these teams because they are all in a hunt for a quarterback.  The Bills have a new head coach this season, Doug Marrone, from Syracuse University.  Before coaching at Syracuse, Marrone used to coach the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets.  Some rumors are spreading, however, that Doug Marrone will bring his quarterback from Syracuse to Buffalo.  Ryan Nassib led Syracuse to win the New Era Pinstripe Bowl over Geno Smith and the West Virginia Mountaineers.  The top prospects in the NFL Draft are Ryan Nassib and Geno Smith.  Both of these players can run and throw the ball down the field.  These players will be fun to watch in the NFL.  By Ameen I.

Bearcats get clawed at the garden

The Cincinnati Bearcats were completely destroyed by the Georgetown Hoyas in Madison Square Garden during the Big East Tournament. Otto Porter had 18 points and 6 rebounds yet again leading the Hoyas to victory.

D'vauntes Smith-Rivera is possibly the best 6th man this year, possibly better than James Southerland of Syracuse off the bench. Smith-Rivera had 13 points and 4 rebounds. Markel Starks had a grand total of 14 points and 3 assists. On the other hand, the Bearcats' leader Sean Kilpatrick was the reason that they lost this game. He only had 4 points on 2-12 shooting. Cashmere Wright steeped up and got 14 points and JaQuan Parker had 12 points.

Do you think that D'vauntes Smtih-Rivera is a better player than Syracuse's James Southerland? I do, because Southerland is a good shooter, but a very unpredictable one, and he likes to take shots that mostly misses. Post your answer in the comments!

Notable Team

There are many teams in the NCAA, but the one team that is the most underrated team is the Villanova Wildcats.  They have beaten Syracuse, Georgetown, and Louisville this season.  Although, all of these wins for the Wildcats have been at home.  They beat Georgetown by ten points and beat Louisville by nine points.  Villanova only beat Syracuse by four points.  The Wildcats are an excellent three-point shooting team.  When playing Syracuse, this extended the 2-3 zone and allowed openings behind the zone for a dunk and a quick pass into the post.  After being fed into the paint, the receiver of the pass just has to turn around and shoot.   Villanova is 42% from the field.  They are full of outside shooters.  Currently, they are a bubble team, but they shouldn't be.  They have beaten their opponents when their opponents were in the AP Top 10.  Villanova should be a seven seed in the March Madness Tournament.  They would have a very good Cinderella Story.  Villanova will be he team to watch in the Big East Tournament and the March Madness Tournament.

Gonzalez Back for Another

Tony Gonzalez is not in just my mind the best tight end ever, but in almost everybody's. He has the three most important records for a tight end and he has decided to stay for one more year with the Falcons. They have offered him a one year deal which he accepted.

Some people think he is too old for the game at 37-years-old and 16 years of NFL experience. I think he still has it in him to play with the best of them.

He did have 930 yards and 8 touchdowns last year. In his career he has put up outstanding numbers, 1,242 receptions, 14,268 yards, and and 103 touchdowns. He leads NFL tight ends by far in each category.

Do you think that it was the right move for Gonzalez to stay another year? I think he is still one of the best tight ends and he made the right chose. Post your opinion in the comments!

Greinke Out

Zack Greinke has been tossed around from team to team like nobody else. He has been in Kansas City, Milwaukee, and now Los Angeles, with the Dodgers. Last year he had a record of 15-5 and he had 200 k's. for the Angels and Brewers.

That's not why I'm talking about him though, it's because he has inflammation in his right elbow after an MRI revealed it last week.

"I've seen (Dodgers president) Stan Kasten here and it sounds like really positive," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "He had the MRI and there was nothing on it. You had to feel like there was some tendinitis or something going on. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew it wasn't anything major." This was explained by ESPN.go.com.
News is not currently available to me on the extent of his injury, but you will be the first I tell.

Poll Before March Madness

March Madness is only a week away and this is the time for teams to start winning games.  Gonzaga has held on to the number one spot and is drawing even more national spotlight.  Georgetown beat Syracuse, closing an amazing rivalry with a win.  So many teams are impressing people with their ability to win games on the road in important games.  The player of the should be Otto Porter of the Georgetown Hoyas.  He usually scores, but instead he drew double teams and passed the ball off for a wide open shot.  The following is a list of the top 25 teams in the AP Top 25 Poll.

1) Gonzaga
2) Duke
3) Indiana
4) Louisville
5) Georgetown
6) Michigan
7) Kansas
8) Michigan State
9) Miami (FL)
10) Ohio State
11) Kansas State
12) Marquette
13) Florida
14) Oklahoma State
15) New Mexico
16) Saint Louis
17) Pittsburgh
18) Arizona
19) Syracuse
20) Memphis
21) UCLA
22) Wisconsin
23) Creighton
24) Notre Dame

Irving Out

Kyrie Irving has injured his a left AC sprain and will be out 3-4 weeks. This was found out after an MRI today. He injured himself when he collided with a Raptors forward. He was layer taken out when he couldn't shoot his free throws.

There is talk that he will be out for the rest of the season although coach Byron Scott would not provide comment.

This wouldn't be the first time he sat this season. He missed 14 games with a knee and index finder injuries.

Coach Scott said "He's still young and his body hasn't fully developed, I'm just not that concerned about it, to be honest with you."

Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers seem to be the only team to be staying healthy in the NBA.  The Clippers are known for "Lob City," which is an ally-oop pass from chris paul and then a dunk by Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin is known for his dunking ability as well as his jumping ability.  He is constantly maliciously  dunking the ball over colossal defenders.  Chris Paul is very fast and can take advantage of that by weaving through defenders on a fast-break.  When franchise players get traded onto a same team, it usually takes a couple of years for them to really start working together better; not with these guys.  Once Blake Griffin came off of his injury and Chris Paul was traded, they were doing ally-oops all the time!  The player that has helped the Clippers this year is DeAndre Jordan.  He is a big man who snatches down rebounds.  After grabbing the rebound he can either use his body strength to score, or kick it out to Chris Paul for a wide open jump shot.  The Clippers have done a great job of collecting players and making sure they work will together quickly.

Game Of the Week

The Indiana Hoosiers and the Michigan Wolverines will most likely put up the best game this week, even topping the rivalry game between Syracuse and Georgetown. Which ended with Georgetown on top. The reason why I say this game will be a good one is they have the same record 25-5 and are in the same conference, the Big 10. Also, both teams have a starting line up like no other. For Indiana theirs consists of Kevin Ferrell, Victor Oladipo, and Cody Zeller. The Wolverines' line up is in my mind the best in the NCAA, it includes, Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr., Glenn Robinson III, and Nik Stauskas.

I honestly think that since Indiana has no momentum after losing to the Buckeyes last week I think they will lose to the Wolverines. Mostly, because Trey Burke has been on fire lately and is averaging 19 points and 6.9 assists per game. Also every player I mentioned before for the wolverines has 10 or more points per game, and Glenn Robinson averages almost 6 rebounds per game. Even though Zeller creams that with over 8 per game and Victor Oladipo averages 6 as well. Christian Watford of the Hoosiers averages 6.4.

Who do you think will win this game tonight? Post in the Comments!

WBC - Wright's Triumph

After a loss to Mexico in the WBC the U.S advanced to play Italy and with one swing the U.S took the lead. It was David Wright, a grand slam to put the U.S on top 6-2 in the fifth inning. The pitching would do the rest not allowing another run.

Wright was 2 for 5 in the game and of course the big hit got him 4 RBI's and Jimmy Rollins and Brandon Phillips did pretty goo too, with Rollins drawing a walk and getting 2 hits out of the lead off spot. Phillips was hitting in the number two hole with 2 hits, a run, and an RBI. For Italy their lead off hitter Nick Punto contributed the most with a 2 for 3 day and 1 run scored.

The pitching for the U.S was all Ross Dewiler, he pitched 4 innings out of the bull pen and only allowed one hit and no runs. All of the runs scored by the Italians were charged to Ryan Vogelson, the starter.

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are an old and battered up team right now.  Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger are out for the rest of the year, but the Celtics are still in the playoff hunt.  After an overtime thriller against the Atlanta Hawks last night, the Celtics have moved into the sixth spot.  Currently, the very famous players for the Celtics are Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.  The other player for the Celtics that is known around the NBA is Jason Terry.  These three players have managed to stay healthy and score.  Jason Terry is finally getting his form back and is draining three-pointers.  He is starting to consistently make threes, and that is helping the Celtics greatly.  Kevin Garnett is doing a great job of shooting and rebounding.  He is aging but is still scoring consistently.  Paul Pierce started the year  in a shooting slump, but is now coming out of it.  He used to take quick shots in traffic, forcing up shots.  Now, he is setting his feet and taking his time when he shoots.  These players have started to score and come out of their shooting slumps.  Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry have stepped up their game, resulting in more wins.  By Ameen I.

Play off Clinch

The Miami Heat have not only won 17 straight games, but they have clinched a play-off spot in the East with a record 46-14. I believe that the Heat will beat the Houston Rockets 22 straight games, but not come close to the Lakers championship year when they won over 30 straight.

In the Heat's game against the 76ers, It showed that Thaddeus Young can keep up with LeBron and Chris Bosh can not out play the Sixer's Spencer Hawes, but when it came down to it it was all LeBron and Dwayne Wade. Wade had 22 points, 3 steals, and 4 assists. James had 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Spencer Hawes did have 10 boards and 13 points, but LeBron was still crashing the boards like no other. Young had 25 points for the Sixers, but LeBron did too for the Heat.

Are the Heat unbeatable and if they aren't then who on their schedule will beat them? I think that they aren't unbeatable and I believe that in their next game against the Pacers they have a pretty good chance to lose. Post your opinion in the comments!

NFL: Whats Going On?

The NFL has had a wild off season so far with, Dunta Robinson, Michael Turner, and John Abraham all being released from the Falcons due to budget cuts. Luckily Robinson found a home in Kansas City for a three year deal. This the fifth big move for the Chiefs after Branden Albert who got the franchise tag, quarterback Alex Smith was received in a trade. They signed receiver Dwayne Bowe and punter Dustin Colquitt to big contracts.

Steven Jackson will mot likely be devoted to a backup. So he denied his contract offered by the Rams and now is an unrestricted free agent.

For where I'm at, going into Year 10, I'm not ready to step back and just become a primary backup or a reduced role guy to be part of a running back by committee," Jackson said Thursday on Sirius XM NFL Radio.

Do you think that the 10,000 yard three time pro bowler should be a backup in only his 10th season when he is 29 years of age? Of course I don't, post your answer in there comments!

Player Watch

The NCAA is full of spontaneous athletes, especially in Men's College Basketball.  The underrated player in Men's basketball is Shabazz Muhammad.  He is an excellent player who has all of the fundamentals of basketball that a coach likes and needs.  He led the UCLA Bruins to beat Arizona about a week ago.  In fact, he is averaging 18.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 0.1 blocks per game.  Muhammad runs the court quickly for fast breaks, making it easy for transition all-oops.  Against Arizona, he had pink eye but still played and had a dominant performance.  Shabazz Muhammad would make a great fit on an NBA team.  Most coaches would also like that he has a very quick release.  This way, he can slow down and save energy while draining a three.  If he gets a sudden pass and a defender is collapsing on him, then he can just shoot.  He deserves more credit, because he is making a team that wasn't heard of this year into a team starting to shine.

Jeter is Ready

Derek Jeter has been cleared to play against the Atlanta Braves. Jeter has been recovering from a broken ankle he received last year and says he is 100 percent ready for the game.
Jeter said that he "It is 100 percent healed, and now we move forward."This was mentioned after hitting batting practice against teammate Andy Pettitte.

What I am currently wondering is 'will Derek Jeter be ready after only 20 days of full practice before the Yankees first game?' I think he won't be playing exactly like Jeter until May or mid to late April. Do you think that this will be a problem, post in the comments!

Bulls Rattled

The Chicago Bulls were flying to Indiana to play in a game on Sunday.  Flying form Chicago's O'Hare airport, the Bulls' team plane went "Boom!"  A few people in the back heard it, but nobody in the front of the plane did.  Then, there were two more "Booms!"  Sparks were flying and people saw out of the window and the pilots were notified.  The pilots then turned the plane around to go back to Chicago and safely landed.  According to ESPN, the players were sent home and returned the next morning to catch another flight.  The Chicago Bulls used the Chicago Blackhawks' charter plane, and used the same plane to fly back to the Windy City.  Then, Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, let the Bulls use the Mavericks' plane to fly to San Antonio on Tuesday to and return after their game on Wednesday.  The Bulls were grateful and thanked Mark Cuban for the plane.  The Chicago Bulls' plane is expected to be fixed and is also expected to be used for the rest of the season.  By Ameen I.

Rivera Announces Retirement

The title maybe confusing, but Mariano Rivera will play this season. He will be announcing the official retirement on Saturday. Just to be clear he will not be retiring until after the current season of 2013.

This comes as no shock since he was recently hurt and he has said he might retire previously, so I can understand. The sad part of this is that the best closer of all time is about to be gone. He has surpassed Trevor Hoffman for saves a few years ago and now has a grand total of 608 and counting. He also, was never the one to give up many runs with a career ERA of 2.21 and it is the highest for any closer to ever pitch. Everything about Rivera is special, his cutter, his records, and his number 42. He is the only current player to have that number, because it was Jackie Robinson's.

What do you expect out of Rivera this season? I expect to see him with at least 30 saves and an ERA of 2.50 or below. What do you think the 43 year old can pull off, post in the comments!

Mark Teixeira

The New York Yankees are a very battered team, and another player has been injured.  Mark Teixeira will miss eight-ten weeks with a wrist injury.  He was originally supposed to miss a week to ten days.  Mark will be out until May, just like Curtis Granderson.  Now, Teixeira will not participate in the World Baseball Classic(WBC).  He hurt his wrist in batting practice for the U.S. team for the WBC and hurt his tendon.  The Yankees are an older team that is filled with injury.  There are many questions swirling around: How are the Yankees going to play without Mark Teixeira?  Who is going to be the first baseman on the U.S. WBC team?  New York is looking for players to shine and rise in spring training.  Hopefully, Mark Teixeira will come back soon.

Ibaka Fined 25K

The Oklahoma City Thunder's, Serge Ibaka, has surprisingly not been suspended after hitting Blake Griffin in the groin area. Griffin was so surprised he said this.

"From what I heard, I guess he's saying he was just trying to get his hand away from mine," Griffin said. "I actually didn't have his hand. He had my arm, so I don't know how it's going to be interpreted. It is surprising , but it is a big game tonight and I don't think they want one of their .. I really don't know. It's a big game.

I personally think that Griffin is correct and that Ibaka should be suspended. Even though he was fined 25 thousand dollars, but Ibaka should pay that and miss at least 3 games. Behavior like this is happening too often and it has to be put to a stop.

Do you think he should be suspended. My answer is clearly stated and I want to know yours, post in the comments!

Indiana-Ohio State:Preview

Ohio State has lead a descent season with a 21-7 record, Indiana has lead a better season with a record of 25-4. I believe that the Ohio State Buckeyes will come out of the Assembly Hall with a win.I believe this because they have won three straight one of them against Michigan State and Minnesota. Sadly for the Hoosiers, Indiana lost to the Minnesota Golden Gophers recently dropping their number one spot.

If you ask me DeShaun Thomas is the best shooter in the big ten. Thomas has an average of 19.8 points per game and he averages 6.1 rebounds per game. Also, Aaron Craft is a big plus for the Buckeyes, especially on defense where he leads the team in steals with 1.9 and he won the defensive player of the year in the previous season.

The Indiana side of the court has some of the best players in the big ten and NCAA consisting of Cody Zeller, Kevin Ferrell, and Victor Oladipo. Oladipo averages 2.3 steals, 14 points, and 6 rebounds per games. Zeller leads the Hoosiers in three of the biggest categories  blocks, points, and rebounds. He has an average of 16.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, plus he has 1.4 blocks. Ferrell is more of a facilitator with 4.4 steals per game and 2.7 rebounds at point guard.
