Play off Clinch

The Miami Heat have not only won 17 straight games, but they have clinched a play-off spot in the East with a record 46-14. I believe that the Heat will beat the Houston Rockets 22 straight games, but not come close to the Lakers championship year when they won over 30 straight.

In the Heat's game against the 76ers, It showed that Thaddeus Young can keep up with LeBron and Chris Bosh can not out play the Sixer's Spencer Hawes, but when it came down to it it was all LeBron and Dwayne Wade. Wade had 22 points, 3 steals, and 4 assists. James had 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Spencer Hawes did have 10 boards and 13 points, but LeBron was still crashing the boards like no other. Young had 25 points for the Sixers, but LeBron did too for the Heat.

Are the Heat unbeatable and if they aren't then who on their schedule will beat them? I think that they aren't unbeatable and I believe that in their next game against the Pacers they have a pretty good chance to lose. Post your opinion in the comments!

A New Side of LeBron

The Miami Heat simply can't lose, they pulled off another win even though LeBron James only made 4 field goals. The Memphis Grizzlies had an unlikely performer themselves with Marc Gasol a center pulling of 24 points, and a very likely 9 rebounds.

On top of the Grizzlies Marc Gasol they also, had plenty of help from Zach Randolph and Mike Conley, both players having 14 points. Conley also had a whopping total of 8 assists, Randolph had only 1 assist but had 9 boards. So how did the Grizzlies not walk out of Miami with a win? They were beaten by the LeBron James, but in a style of game he doesn't usually play with, facilitating. He had 10 assists 18 points, and 8 rebounds, most of the assists lead to Dwayne Wade. Lebron helped him add up a total of 22 points. Also, Chis Bosh was being his usual self with 13 points, but surprisingly only 6 boards. All these lead to a final score of 98-91, Heat on top.

Do you think that the Heat's winning streak of 13 is in jeopardy against the Knicks on Sunday? I do because Carmelo Anthony has had a hot hand lately and Tyson Chandler has been doing great with rebounds. Post your opinion in the comments!

Heat Bulls Preview

What do you think of when you here the Miami Heat? The big 3, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, and Dwayne Wade? I think of LeBron James. He leads the Heat in every major category except blocks which is lead by Chris Bosh. He averages 27.2 points, 7 assists, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals.

Also the Heat have great players around the big three, like Ray Allen and Mario Chalmers. Allen averages about 10points per game and he is also a great three point shooter to have on your team. Plus,Chalmers is a good facilitator and he can also occasionally have games with big points although he only averages 7 points per game. But the best players on the Heat are still the big three, including Dwayne Wade and his 20.9 points per game, and Chris Bosh with 17.5 points per game and 7.1 rebounds.

For the Bulls they are lacking talent with Derrick Rose out for the season, but they are still making it work as they have a 31-22 record. Plus, unlike the Heat they are very spread out with not one star, but a team of players who are good at a couple particular things like, Joakim Noah who averages 11.5 rebounds and 2 blocks. Also, Carlos Boozer averages 15.7 points a game and 9.6 rebounds per game. They also have a good point guard playing well in for Derrick Rose with 5.3 points a game and 7 points a game with Kirk Hinrich. Plus, Nate Robinson is good to have on your team because he has 11.9 points a game and 4.1 assists.

Who do you think will come out on top? I think that the Heat will come out with a win. Post your opinion in the comments!

Three Straight Years

The West has been on top of the All-Star game for the previous 2 years and they made it 3 years last night. When the MVP award was given to Chris Paul who now has his name on a list of players including Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas. Because CP3 had 20 points and 15 assists he also would end with 4 steals.

"You just want to play fast. I like to throw the lob. I like to see guys hit 3s," Paul said. That's Chris Paul for you. He likes to be the guy who doesn't get the job done with points, but assists.

It wasn't just CP3 getting the job done for the West they had plenty of help from Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant. Durant lead all scorers with 30 points and he also had 7 rebounds. Griffin had 19 points and 2 steals. Also the West's bench played outstanding with Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden all coming in for over 10 points. Parker had 13 and 5 assists, Westbrook had 14 and 4 rebounds, and Harden had 15 with 6 boards.

The top performer from the East was quite obviously Carmelo Anthony who had 26 points and 12 rebounds leading his team in both categories. Dwayne Wade also played lights out with 21 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 7 assists. LeBron had 19 points and he was blocked twice by Kobe Bryant. Kyrie Irving had 15 points and 4 assists off the bench.

The game would end with the West on top 143 to 138. Which team do you think will win the All-Star game next year? Post in the comments box!

The Flame and the Kitten

The Miami Heat are a fire that can't be put out and the Lakers are a hopeless kitten stuck in a tree, but the Lakers tree is a slump. An endless slump lead by the fact that the Lakers have no chemistry. On the Heat they have exactly that, chemistry. For example, the Miami Heat's big three, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh were all drafted in the same year of 2003. Even though Bosh and Ray Allen will be out for this game I am still predicting the Heat to win, because they did it over the Clippers.

The biggest reason I think the Heat can win is, because the Lakers are sloppy with the ball this year and Dwayne Wade is one of the best defensive players in the league. I think that Wade will be all over the Laker's offense. Also, LeBron James has a career high of 56.0 percent from the field and he also has a career high of 42.0 percent from beyond the arc. But maybe Kobe Bryant can lead his team to victory, with his average of 27.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. He would still need help from the Lakers great assister Steve Nash, who averages over 7 assists a game. The Lakers great rebounding core Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard can get the 19 total rebounds they average a game.

So yes there is a possibility that the Lakers can string together a win over the Heat, but I am still taking the unhealthy Heat. What do you think? Post your predicted winner in the comments.

Heat Way over Lob City

On Friday night there was a game that was so far apart it was never even a game. The Heat would end the game up 111-89. It was clear why though, LeBron James got hot. He had 30 points and 6 assists.

Dwayne Wade didn't come short of anything he had 7 assists with 20 points to match it. Wade also had 4 steals and his teammate Mario Chalmers had 18 points and 3 steals. For the Clippers DeAndre Jordan played as best he could with 17 points and 6 rebounds, but with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin not fully recovered they could only contribute so much. Blake had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Paul was very limited though. He had only 3 points in 20 minutes. Even Chauncey Billups played better than Paul and he played only 16 minutes, for 7 points and 4 assists. So with Paul and Billups not having much playing time Jaamal Crawford and Eric Bledsoe would. Crawford had 13 points and 3 assists, while Bledsoe had 7 points and 6 assists.

I think if the Clippers were healthy they would have won this game. What do you think? Post your opinion in the comments.

Star Matchup

Tonight, arguably two of the best teams are playing; the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers.  These teams have had great additions in the past few years, including players worthy of an MVP Award.  The Clippers have struggled to stay healthy, including Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and Chauncey Billups.  This team can't win games if they don't have Chris Paul.  Paul's time out has taken a blow to this team, and they fail to score or win without him.  Meanwhile, the Heat are anything except that.  They've hardly had any problems this season.  They have managed to stay healthy, score, and pass the ball around.  The Big Three has done a good job in keeping this team in tact.  They have very high chances in making it to the NBA Finals.  LeBron James has had two monster seasons with many awards and accomplishments.  This season he is averaging 26.8 points, 7 assists, and 8.2 rebounds.  He is a player who can do everything; score, pass, and rebound.  Dwayne Wade has been connecting with LeBron James lately, a result of their many wins.  He averages 20.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.  Wade is listed as a game-time decision.  The other player who is listed as a game-time decision is Chris Bosh.  He has 17.5 points,7.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.  The Big Three brings a whole new dimension to this team which other teams been so successful with.  Los Angeles is famous for " Lob City."  Blake Griffin is the receiving end of Lob City, and averages 18.5 points to go along with 8.6 rebounds.  He is listed as questionable for tonights game, proof that this Clippers team isn't staying healthy.  Chris Paul is averaging 16.6 points and a resounding 9.7 assists a game.  He is a main source of their offense, and if he's out, the Clippers won't win many games.  Finally, a big improvement is DeAndre Jordan.  He is the big man who is keeping this team in order.  DeAndre Jordan has 9 points,7.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game.  He does a great job of rebounding.  If he is trapped, he can kick it out to a teammate and they can score.  I am predicting that the Heat will come out on top.  My reasoning is the Clippers have too many injured players.  Whereas, the Heat don't have that problem, and they have players who can score off the bench.  This game will be on ESPN at 8:00 PM EST.

Heat vs. Celtics.

Today Ray Allen is visiting his old home, Boston.  This summer in the offseason, Ray Allen went to the Miami Heat, and that hurt the Boston Celtics because Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were questionable to come back.  Now, Miami's Big 3 is going to visit Boston's Big 3.  Miami's best players are LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.  The Celtics' best are Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce.  To start off, the Heat are coming off of winning a championship.  LeBron James is averaging 26.4 points, 7.1 assists, and 8.1 rebounds.  2012 was a great year for LeBron because he won the championship, won MVP, won NBA Finals MVP, got to 20,000 points, got to 5,000 assists, and won a gold medal at the Olympics in London this summer.  Dwayne Wade averages 20.8 points and 4.5 assists per game.  Finally, Chris Bosh averages 17.2 points, 7.2 boards and 1.4 blocks a game.  If these three can't step up, then someone else will.  One game, Mario Chalmers scored over 30 points, a career-high.  That proves how deep this Miami team is, and how much their front office does to get great players.

Meanwhile, the Celtics look like they did last year, tired and bored.  They look like the "Bad News Bears" right now.  Although, last year the Celtics had a great second half of the season last year, and I think that will happen this year too.  Rajon Rondo is averaging 13.7 points, 5.6 boards, and 11.1 assists.  Rondo has also had triple-doubles this season.  He is short, so 5.6 rebounds is a lot.  In my opinion, I think he is one of the best point-guards in the NBA.  Paul Pierce is averaging 18.8 points, and 5.7 rebounds.  This hasn't been a great season for him  shooting.  Kevin Garnett averages 14.7 points and 7.2 boards.  If the season ended today, the Celtics would be in the 8 seed, while the Heat are in the 1 seed.  This game will be on ABC and will be on at 1:00 EST this afternoon.  By Ameen I.

Heat vs. Lakers

Last night LeBron James was the youngest player to reach 20,000 points at age 28.  2012 was a golden year for him because he won an NBA Championship game(his first in his career), NBA Finals MVP, and he won a gold medal at the Olympics.  Kobe Bryant was on the same Olympic team to win another Olympic gold medal.  This was his last Olympics with Coach K of Duke.  Tonight the Miami Heat are going to go to visit the Los Angeles Lakers as part of their six game road trip.  Now LeBron James averages 26 buckets a game, 8.1 boards a game, and 6.9 dishes a game.  Last night in an interview James was asked with record was he most proud of:  20,000 points in your career or 5,000 assists in your career?  LeBron said he was more proud of 5,000 assists in his career because he enjoys it when all of his teammates are involved in the game too.  Dwayne Wade averages 19.9 points a game, 4.4 assists per game, and 4.7 boards a game.  Finally, Chris Bosh averages 17.8 points per game, snatches 7.1 rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per a game.  That is why the Heat won a championship last year, the Big Three.  Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James.

However, the Lakers are led by Kobe Bryant.  Bryant averages 29.9 points a game, 4.8 assists per game, and 4.9 rebounds a game.  The two new additions of the Lakers, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, have been out for part of the season and it has hurt them a lot.  In fact, it hurt them so much that they have a record of 17-21.  This week Dwight Howard is coming off of a shoulder injury and is averaging 17.8 buckets per game, 12.6 boards a game, and 2.6 blocks a game.  Howard has helped the Lakers when he was in though.  The second addition, Steve Nash, averages 10.5 points per a game and a resounding 8.9 assists per game.  Steve Nash was out early in the season with a fibula injury and that hurt the Lakers too.  Right now, Pau Gasol is out with a concussion.  He averaged 12 points a game for them and he brought long range shooting and rebounding.  This game will be on at 10:30 EST on TNT.  LeBron James might steal the show away from he Lakers in Los Angeles though.  By Ameen I.
