Greinke out With Collarbone Injury

Carlos Quentin a two year in a row and counting champion for getting hit with a pitch. He has been hit 43 times in the past 2 years and 3 times by Zach Greinke, but when the third one came around yesterday Quenton got mad. He charges the mound and wrestled Greinke to the ground.

Greinke had been found to have a broken collarbone after the 3-2 pitch to Quentin came across the plate to Quentin's shoulder.

I never hit him on purpose," said Greinke, who had his left arm in a sling and appeared shaken after the game. "I never thought about hitting him on purpose. He always seems to think that I'm hitting him on purpose, but that's not the case. That's all I can really say about it."

The coach of the Dodgers, Don Mattingly, said in one word what Quentin's actions were, and he said what he did was stupid and you honestly can't argue with that. I have one question for my readers, what would you have done in Quentin's shoes?

  1. I hope the next time Quentin's at bat he gets hit with another pitch.

  2. Maybe he should think about moving back off the plate a little bit....he's not too bright...to think that Greinke or any pitcher would deliberately hit him with a full count in a close game tells me Quentin's basebeall IQ is not too high.....what a sad week for my favorite sport......so many grown men behaving badly and setting the worst example for kids who are just learning the game...
