Doc Rivers Fined

The Coach of the NBA's Boston Celtics, Doc Rivers, has been fined 25k for criticizing referees publicly, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced on Thursday.

After the Celtics center, Kevin Garnett, ran into foul trouble during Tuesday's Game 2 loss, earning two whistles in an 18-second span early in the first quarter. Rivers showed his displeasure with the officiating in a post-game news conference.

He said in his words that "I thought the fouls on Kevin were horrendous and had a huge effect on us." This was said during the postgame news conference that he was given the fine for after the game 2 loss to the Knicks.

The Celtics have just dug them selves into a 2-0 deficit in their series with the Knicks. How do you think their playoff season will pan out! Post in the comments!
