Kevin Ware- Released

The Louisville Cardinals Kevin Ware suffered a horrific injury in their elite eight game when he was contesting a three point shot. He was rushed to the hospital and now he is being released.

Kevin Ware said that now the hardest step in his recovery is complete, the first one. I have to say that I total agree that this is the hardest step and it will get better from here on out.

Ware left the hospital to everyone's surprise not in a wheel chair, but on crutches. Before he left the hospital today he tweeted "back to my brothers." Does this mean that he will be flying to Atlanta, Georgia to see his Cardinals play the Wichita State Shockers in the Final Four. Nobody is positive about this at the moment, but I think he will. Coach of the Cardinals, Rick Pitino, said that he would love to have Ware travel with the team.

Joe Theisman never played another game of football in his life after suffering a similar injury in 1985 on Monday Night Football. He definitely wasn't on crutches only days after the injury, so there is definitely hope for this young man.

  1. He really is quite an amazing young man....I agree with you that if it is at all possible he'll be on the sidelines for the game in Atlanta later this week......they have mad amazing strides in how broken bones can be repaired since J. Theisman had his leg broken...great reporting
