D-Backs take it in 16

The Arizona Diamondbacks didn't have an easy win, they sent 21 different batters up to the plate and used 7 pitchers. As for the Cardinals they sent 20 batters to the plate and had 8 pitchers on the mound in the loss. The final score was Saint Louis 9- D-Backs 10.

The game winner came off of a single by Chad Pennington one of his 3 hits out of 6 at bats. The Diamondbacks Gerardo Parra had 1 homer, 3 hits, 3 runs, and 1 RBI, he had quite a game at lead off. The man hitting behind him at number 2, Martin Prado had 3 RBI's and was 3- 7 at the plate. Josh Collmenter pitched the last 5 innings of the 16 inning game and he got the win for the Diamondbacks, he only gave up 1 run on 4 hits in those innings. The loss went to the Cardinals Fernando Salas who only gave up one run in his 2.1 innings pitched, but sadly it was the most important

This game chose who won the series and the D-Backs took it 2-1 games.
