King Felix is Staying Home

Felix Hernandez agreed to a five-year, $135.5 million contract extension Thursday with the Seattle Mariners. This surprised me, because I thought that King Felix would want to be on a better team than the Mariners. The only reason he would have to stay is the reason above, 135.5 million dollars!

Felix has done great things such as throw a perfect game and he has had an ERA of 3.06 last year and he also had 223 strikeouts. Plus he had 5 complete games and all of them were shut-outs. I think Felix should have tried to stay on the market longer until a higher offer came from a better team. I guess it never came which is very surprising, because a lot of teams have struggling pitching staffs.

Do you think that King Felix should have gone to the Mariners? Post your opinion in the comments!
