This season the Los Angeles Lakers have had some trouble. In the beginning of the season head coach Mike Brown was fired due to a very slow start. The Lakers were in a hunt for a head coach and had a tough decision to make: Phil Jackson or Mike D'antoni. Phil Jackson was a coach for the Chicago Bulls and coached Michael Jordan. A few years ago Phil Jackson was with the Lakers and won a championship. Phil thought he was getting too old, so he decided to retire. Mike D'antoni was recently coaching for the New York Knicks and in the summer he was an assistant coach for the U.S.A. Men's Olympic team. The Lakers decided to hire Mike D'antoni. Ever since, the Lakers been battling with injuries. Steve Nash had been out for the beginning of the season with an injury and came back to play a few weeks ago. This week Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol were injured. Howard had a shoulder injury and Gasol had a concussion. At this rate it seems like the only member of the Lakers who won't be injured through the whole season is the veteran, Kobe Bryant. I think the Lakers will be the last seed in the Western Conference come playoff time.

The tide seems have turned against Kolbe and the Lakers....he helped carry his team for years and now, as he comes to the end of his career, others are not stepping up to help him...
