Todd Helton of the Colorado Rockies a respected player at that, has been sentenced to a year of probation and 24 hours community service due to driving while impaired. He was first arrested on February 6th and said he had had two glasses of wine to the officer.

His court-date was today and he pleaded guilty and apologized for his actions in a suburb of Denver.

He had been charged with driving under the influence and careless driving after his Feb. 6 arrest. The charges luckily for him were dropped by prosecutors.

  1. why.........is it so hard for these men to understand that drinking and driving don't mix...he could have certainly afforded a limo or cab.....or maybe the real problem lies with the establishments who sell alcohol and then watch people walk out to their cars when they know they had the power to take away the car keys and call the man a cab.
