Mark Sanchez has had job security ever since he was drafted out of USC. The reason he has job security is because of head coach, Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan has been defending and protecting Sanchez for far too long. For example, last season was clearly the time for Tim Tebow to step in and make some plays. Last season, Tebow hardly played. Also, Greg McElroy was a last resort quarterback last season and he had a superb performance. The next game, however, Rex Ryan started Mark Sanchez. Now, the job security will not be available for Sanchez. I am predicting that Rex Ryan will either be fired in the middle of the season, or the end of the season. Either way, the Jets will still be looking for someone. Geno Smith will help the Jets bring back the wildcat formation and will help confuse defenses. David Garrard will also help in these costly situations. I believe Mark Sanchez will also lose his starting quarterback job soon. The upcoming 2013 season for the New York Jets is a rebuilding season. By Ameen I.

QB Controversy
The New York Jets have had issues in the past seasons, but none greater than the issue for this upcoming 2013 season. The Jets have released Tim Tebow and Tebow is still without a team. The only place for Tim Tebow to go is either to the Jacksonville Jaguars or the Canadian Football League (CFL). Now, the Jets have four quarterbacks fighting for the starting job. The quarterbacks are Geno Smith, Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy, and David Garrard. Geno Smith was drafted by the Jets in the second round in the recent draft. Mark Sanchez has been in New York for a while, and has been starting to slump for the last two or three seasons. Greg McElroy stepped up big last year when both Sanchez and Tebow were injured. McElroy is a very talented quarterback who understands the game. David Garrard has been flying around the league and hasn't been doing great. Garrard was on the Jaguars but didn't fulfill their hopes. Now, the battle for the starting quarterback positing has begun.

Draft
The NFl Draft so far has taken some unexpected turns. For example, the New York Jets waited until the second round and 39th overall pick to take projected first rounder Geno Smith of West Virginia. Also, The Eagles took Zach Eartz a tight end from Stanford to add to their receiving core instead of a quarterback that they desperately need.
Another example is Manti Te'o taken in the second round at pick number 28 overall and he went to the Chargers. Robert Woods who is a great wide receiver for Matt Barkley and the USC Trojans went to the Bills at pick number 41.
The draft is still on ESPN so turn it on!

Quarterback Prospects
The NFL's Free Agency has started, and there have been many players who have already packed their bags and are headed toward training camp. Teams that need are quarterback for this coming season are in a jam. Last year, the draft was filled with quarterbacks. The teams that need a quarterback the most are the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, and the New York Jets. Many people think that Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are franchise quarterbacks. They are not. Mark Sanchez always runs into the lineman up front, causing a sack. Tim Tebow has the inability to stay healthy or throw very deep down the field. The Buffalo Bills released quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, who didn't have a very impressive 2012 season. The Cardinals' quarterbacks couldn't stay healthy. Kevin Kolb was doing excellent, but then was injured and missed most of the season. The Jacksonville Jaguars never really had a quarterback who could carry them to wins. The Miami Dolphins have a quarterback who didn't have a break-out game to prove that he was going to be the franchise quarterback. The most popular draft prospect is Geno Smith from West Virginia. He can go to any one of these teams: Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, or the Buffalo Bills. He can go to any of these teams because they are all in a hunt for a quarterback. The Bills have a new head coach this season, Doug Marrone, from Syracuse University. Before coaching at Syracuse, Marrone used to coach the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets. Some rumors are spreading, however, that Doug Marrone will bring his quarterback from Syracuse to Buffalo. Ryan Nassib led Syracuse to win the New Era Pinstripe Bowl over Geno Smith and the West Virginia Mountaineers. The top prospects in the NFL Draft are Ryan Nassib and Geno Smith. Both of these players can run and throw the ball down the field. These players will be fun to watch in the NFL. By Ameen I.

Overrated?
Is the some say #1 QB prospect Geno Smith overrated? I'd say so. The Kansas City Cheifs have the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and are going to be searching for QB to repair their terrible offensive game. A lot say that Geno Smith will be that guy. In my opinion, I would try to go for someone like Colin Klein or Landry Jones before I use my pick on Geno Smith.
Don't get me wrong, Smith is a very athletic player with amazing football IQ and the abilty to use his legs to get out of bad situations. He has also stuffed the stat sheet with 4,021 passing yards and 40 scores. But one thing he did not do was lead West Virginia to wins. They finished 7-6 after getting destroyed by Syracuse and their QB Ryan Nassib in the Pinstripe Bowl, who is another great prospect who has a chance at going first round. I just don't see Smith being affective in the NFL, because if you can't lead a super talented college team to wins, then theres no way you can lead a professinal rebuilding team to wins.

Top 5 Prospects
The Kansas City Chiefs get the first pick in the draft I believe that their best bet will be the getting a new quarterback. I think they should pick the athletic Geno Smith. He lead West Virginia to the Pinstripe Bowl, but lost to Ryan Nassib and the Syracuse Orange. Smith has 4201 passing yards and is third in division one completions with 366. I believe he is a clear pick for this team.

Jacksonville is the second team to get their pick and I think they will take Phillip Thomas a senior out of Fresno State. Fans of Jacksonville want a quarterback, but they need a franchise player and this is him. He leads the NCAA in interceptions with 8 and has 4 sacks as a defensive back. His best game was against Colorado when he had 3 interceptions returning 2 for touchdowns. Coming off those interceptions he had 59 yards.

The Oakland Raiders should make the smart move of getting Star Lotulelei a defensive tackle out of Utah. The Raiders defensive line has grown poor. He could add something to get this line off the ground. According to CBS sports he is the number 1 defensive tackle.

The Eagles get the fourth pick of the draft and the weakest part of their team is their offensive line. They have the lowest ranked offensive line in he NFL. That is why the number 1 ranked Offensive Tackle in the NCAA , Luke Joeckel would boost this team to wins.

The Detroit Lions get the fifth pick, and their defense gets stomped on. So Manti Te'o who leads line backers in interceptions with 7 would fit for this team. Manti Te'o was also the runner up for the Heisman trophy. Manti also has 101 tackles and fans love him. That is something else that Detroit needs, fans, because fans means money.
