Poll Before March Madness

March Madness is only a week away and this is the time for teams to start winning games.  Gonzaga has held on to the number one spot and is drawing even more national spotlight.  Georgetown beat Syracuse, closing an amazing rivalry with a win.  So many teams are impressing people with their ability to win games on the road in important games.  The player of the should be Otto Porter of the Georgetown Hoyas.  He usually scores, but instead he drew double teams and passed the ball off for a wide open shot.  The following is a list of the top 25 teams in the AP Top 25 Poll.

1) Gonzaga
2) Duke
3) Indiana
4) Louisville

New Number One

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have taken the number one spot for the first time in school history.  Miami lost to Duke in Cameron Indoor while Ryan Kelly was on fire.  Kansas State fended off Baylor with a last second shot.  Now is the time for teams to start winning important games in their conferences.  Also, Indiana was upset by the Minnesota Golden Gophers.  In many minds and mine, Ryan Kelly of the Duke blue Devils is the player of the week.  In March, anything can happen; upsets.  March Madness is nearing and many games are already having a playoff environments to them.  The following is the list of the top 25 teams in the AP Top 25 Poll.

1) Gonzaga
2) Indiana
3) Duke

Teams Shining and Falling

The AP Top 25 Poll has just come out.  With Syracuse breaking an NCAA record of on campus attendance at a game with 35,012 and losing to the Georgetown Hoyas.  Miami was upset by Wake Forest and Gonzaga has moved up to the number 2 spot.  Indiana stayed at the number one spot after losing to Illinois and has stayed atop the nation.  Teams have risen and they have sunk while being in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.  I think the player that should receive the most credit should be Otto Porter of the Georgetown Hoyas.  He is an amazing player, leading Georgetown to many of their wins. The following is a list of the Top 25 teams in the AP Top 25 Poll.

1) Indiana
2) Gonzaga

Top Teams Shine

The new college basketball rankings are out with the most elite teams in the nation.  There weren't as many upsets as last week.  Syracuse and Duke were teams that fell and it was very easy to spot on national scoreboards.  Now, the number one spot has been safer, with Indiana staying on top.  Miami looks like a brand new team with a 12-0 ACC record.  I think the player of the week is Victor Oladipo of Indiana because he is drawing spotlight and lifting his team along with Cody Zeller.  Teams have snuck in and out of the Top 25 this year.  The following list is the AP Top 25.

1) Indiana
2) Miami(FL)
3) Gonzaga
4) Michigan State
5) Florida
6) Duke

Best Teams Unveiled

This week in college basketball was filled with upsets.  With four out of five teams in the top five were upset.  These four teams were Indiana, Florida, Michigan, and Kansas.  Kansas went on a three game losing-streak, and is still on their losing-streak.  The Jayhawks fell out of the Top Ten.  Kentucky is finally back in the Top 25.  To me, the most surprising thing was the fact that Indiana stayed at number one.  Indiana lost to Illinois, an unranked team that still isn't in the AP Top 25 Poll.  I think Victor Oladipo is the player of the week in all of America.  The following is the new rankings in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

1) Indiana
2) Duke
3) Miami(FL)
4) Michigan
5) Gonzaga
6) Syracuse
7) Florida
8) Michigan State

New Looks In the Top 25

There is only one word to describe this weekend in college basketball: Wild.  Number one Michigan went down to number 3 Indiana in Indiana.  Number 2 Kansas lost to unranked Oklahoma State.  Number 6 Syracuse fell to unranked Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.  This weekend was wild with college hoops and the Super Bowl.  I think the team of the week is Oklahoma State.  They came to Kansas and upset Kansas, snapping the Jayhawks 33 game home winning-streak.  The obvious thing was that since Michigan lost, Indiana was going to take number one.  These upsets are proving that other teams are coming alive and out of the shadows.  For a highly ranked team to get upset, I think it is good because they try harder than ever to become number one. The team that upset a high ranked team starts to get too self-confident, so they don't try as hard and lose games.  Up next is the list of the teams in the Associated Press Top 25.

1) Indiana
2) Florida
3) Michigan
4) Duke
5) Kansas
6) Gonzaga
7) Arizona
8) Miami (FL)
