Yankees Turn 3
This is a must see Youtube video of the New York Yankees getting a triple play on the Orioles. The Orioles Muchado hits a ground ball to Robinson Cano at second base who flips it to the replacement shortstop who throws to Youkilis at third who then fires it across the diamond to first base where the first baseman and Cano catch to batter in a run down. That all happened in one play.

A Bombers NEW Injury
The Yankees veteran pitcher, Andy Pettitte was experiencing back spasms lately and they started during the Bombers game against the Baltimore Orioles. Pettitte did throw 7 innings of one run ball that game and he played great.
The bad part is it has gotten to the point where he has had his start moved back. He will pitch on Tuesday or Wedensday against Arizona the official date has not been assigned to Pettitte.
"I would love to just go out there and try to pitch, and I'll get through it like I got through it in Cleveland," Pettitte mentioned to reporters before the Yankees faced the Baltimore Orioles. "They're not going to allow me to do it with an opportunity to push me back several days."
Pettitte's Yankees are having a decent season with a record 4-4 and they have won 3 straight, but it may be hard to continue with all of their injuries and new ones adding on.

Carrasco Running With the Law
The Cleveland Indian's ,Carlos Carrasco, just simply can't stay out of trouble, in two years he has been suspended for intentionally hitting a batter. Sadly for the Yankees they are being beat up enough, but this time it was Kevin Youkilis. His first victim was in 2011 and it was Billy Butler who was hit, he served 5 games for that. This time it was on Tuesday and his penalty was just decided to be an 8 game suspension due to this being his second offense.
The Indians manager ,Terry Francona, said he believed his pitcher that he didn't do it, but also acknowledged the fact that it didn't look good and understood that the Yankees were upset. The Yankees did end up winning 14-1 in a blowout and the Bombers have been getting by without most of their talent, Derek Jeter, Mark Texiera, Curtis Granderson, and Alex Rodriguez. They do still have Cano and his presence was made known with a 2 run homer off of Carrasco before his early game ejection.

Jeter's setback
The general Manager of the New York Yankees, Brian Cashman, has announced that star shortstop Derek Jeter is possibly on the disabled list for opening day. Edwardo Nunez will be the one to take his spot.Jeter must miss some games because his rehab has been rushed and the Yankees won't take any chances with a franchise player like Jeter.
"I feel great," Nunez said after the Yankees' 4-0 victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday at The Boss. "I feel so comfortable, confident in myself. I think I've fixed a lot of my defense this year."
Edwardo Nunez did make an error in the bombers' previous spring training game, but in his defense it was a nasty hop and he didn't have a large chance at throwing him out if he caught it. I think Nunez is ready for the season.
How do you think the Yankees season will pan out with Granderson, Jeter, Texiera, Hughes, and Rodriguez out with injuries? Not good. Post your opinion in the comments box.

Jeter is Ready
Derek Jeter has been cleared to play against the Atlanta Braves. Jeter has been recovering from a broken ankle he received last year and says he is 100 percent ready for the game.
Jeter said that he "It is 100 percent healed, and now we move forward."This was mentioned after hitting batting practice against teammate Andy Pettitte.
What I am currently wondering is 'will Derek Jeter be ready after only 20 days of full practice before the Yankees first game?' I think he won't be playing exactly like Jeter until May or mid to late April. Do you think that this will be a problem, post in the comments!

Mark Teixeira
The New York Yankees are a very battered team, and another player has been injured. Mark Teixeira will miss eight-ten weeks with a wrist injury. He was originally supposed to miss a week to ten days. Mark will be out until May, just like Curtis Granderson. Now, Teixeira will not participate in the World Baseball Classic(WBC). He hurt his wrist in batting practice for the U.S. team for the WBC and hurt his tendon. The Yankees are an older team that is filled with injury. There are many questions swirling around: How are the Yankees going to play without Mark Teixeira? Who is going to be the first baseman on the U.S. WBC team? New York is looking for players to shine and rise in spring training. Hopefully, Mark Teixeira will come back soon.

Granderson Out
The New York Yankees have suffered many losses in recent seasons. With the whole PED's situation with A-Rod and the fractured ankle that Derek Jeter is currently in rehab, to now the fact that Curtis Granderson will not play until at least the first week of May. He was hit by a pitch in the forearm, and the news in the clubhouse was that he broke his forearm. Granderson was a monster home run hitter, bombing them into the stands when Robinson Cano was in a slump. He is a fast center-fielder who can chase down balls and run the bases swiftly. I think the Yankees should start looking for younger and fresher players to start. Jeter is growing older and nearing the end of his career. The loss of Curtis Granderson will severely hurt the New York Yankees.
Yankees: What Else is New
The New York Yankees have been having a tough off season and it is getting worse as they have not gained any new power for any position. Also, Curtis Granderson was expected to start in left field and Brett Gardner to play center, instead he was hit in the hand in the top of the first inning disabling him from any play for the rest of the game. Curtis was hitting in the number five hole with a pair of runners on and two outs when there was a 2-2 count and pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, J.A Happ ran one a little too far inside and caught Granderson's right hand. His condition was not yet announced.
Also, Alex Rodriguez is in more trouble with his cousin, Yuri Sucart selling a replica 2009 Yankees world series ring that was giving to Sucart by A-Rod, but apparently never owned nor worn by A-Rod. It is being sold on an online auction website with an opening bid of 5,000 dollars. A-rod wasn't "available" to talk about it so his spokesman said "Alex Rodriguez made numerous replica World Series rings for friends and family. He didn't know that Yuri Sucart was selling one of them."
Finally the Yankees have some good news that Derrek Jeter will be ready to play on March tenth for a spring training game. That will leave Jeter with 19 spring training games before the Yankees play their rival the Boston Redsox on April first. Jeter should be in no way unable to perform on the opener unless he acquires another injury which isn't likely. So we are looking forward to seeing Jeter in action in only two weeks.
